Beautiful antique painting, oil on oak panel, uncleaned and untouched. Directly from an Antwerp estate. A rare find, has not been on the art market for ages.
Monogrammed lower right: " Cf" for Louis de Caullery ( Antwerp, 1580-1621).
Dimensions: of the original frame: 17.1" x 12.4", of the painting: 14.4" x 9.4".
A typical scene for de Caullery; a crucifixion, with lot of details, persons and horses.
State: no inpaintings or restorations, as found. A light crack in the panel on the upper left ( from old age).
