I am especially partial to Sleeping Beauty turquoise because it is mined in our home state. It has a very distinct color that is unique to the turquoise.
The turquoise is Sleeping Beauty turquoise named for the mountain where the mine is located. The mountain looks like a woman in slumber. The mine is 7 miles out of Globe, Arizona.
Sleeping Beauty turquoise is prized for its color (robin's egg blue) absent of any matrix, its hardness and its rarity. It is very identifiable by its color and smooth finish.
Each turquoise bead is separated by a sterling "disc" spacers while big "fat-tire" sterling spacers at the top and bottom give the hand wire-wrapped earrings fantastic weight and balance.
The top and bottom sterling discs have great weight and give the earrings good balance.
Classic sterling post-backs make these beauties wonderfully comfortable to wear.
These earrings are great year round, but look especially nice in the summer with a tan and a crisp white top.
Turquoise is fabulously versatile that you can wear these babies with just about anything!
I made these in a classic, simple, yet elegant style to wear with casual outfits or dressier occasions.
