Very Special Wilardy "Stardust" Lucite Bag with Embedded Tulle and Sparkle

Established in 1946, Wilardy provided the elite, aristocratic crows of Paris, London, Miami and Hollywood with the finest, most unique Lucite handbags.

Interest in the Wilardy brand has been revived in recent years and this vintage box-purse is a highly-collectible example of their charming and endearing style.

This is from their "Stardust" line.

You will notice that this Lucite handbag has a lot of really fun, unique details, including two individual sections on the top and bottom.

A small tier at the top of the bag opens and closes securely with a wide, Lucite clasp while the larger bottom portion opens with a locking brass push-button mechanism.

The hinge on the interior of the upper portion features an embossed maker's mark which reads "Wilardy".

It's the overall LOOK of this baby that really makes the heart skip a beat.

The entire handbag (including handle and wide upper-clasp) are adorned with glittering goldtone lace that has been embedded within the Lucite.

The wide-net lace absolutely glistens in the light, and the criss-cross pattern is accented at each intersection with a little starburst of reflective silver-colored confetti.

The handbag comes with its original box.

The box is covered in a graphical repeating pattern of the Wilardy Company's classic logo. The box exhibits some wear and tearing.

The handbag shows only a touch of expected wear and some very minor darkening and scratching on the goldtone brass components.

Overall, this dazzling Wilardy Lucite box-purse remains in great vintage condition and is sure to be a favorite springtime accessory.
