Very Cool Nan Duskin Frank Olive Vintage "Frank's Girl" Green Hat

From Olive's "Frank's Girl" line, this precious beauty definitely has a French school-girl look about it.

The hat is made of the highest-quality Kelly-green wool and boasts a tall, rounded crown with an in-turned "bubble" brim.

Inside, you will find that the hat remains unlined as it is typically unnecessary to include a lining in woolen hats of such exceptional quality.

The inner-band is lined with a narrow ribbon of bright-pink grosgrain. This is where you will find the original fabric retailer and designer's labels.

The first label reads "Nan Duskin, Philadelphia" while the neighboring tag reads "Frank's Girl, Designed by Frank Olive, New York".

Nan Duskin founded in 1927 in Philadelphia. Nan Duskin was regarded as the most exclusive haute couture store housing the best of the best designer labels in the world. Nan Duskin closed in 1994.

Finally, a manufacturer's mark is imprinted on the underside of the crown and reads "100% Wool, `Excello', Made in U.S.A., Geo. W. Bollman & Co., Inc."

While the interior brim has lost a bit of its original shape, we are pleased to report that this fun and fashionable little hat remains in very good vintage condition.
