Incredibly Rare 44" Antique "Pools of Light" Rock Crystal Spheres in Sterling Silver Necklace

There are others that have very plain mounting, but this has elaborate sterling housing around each crystal, and the best part is it is SO LONG.

It took everything in me to put this for sale, but I know it would have just sat in my stash and it belongs to someone that also has the full appreciation of its rarity and will treasure it as much as we do.

This dazzling antique necklace is unlike anything we've ever seen. It features 50 genuine "Pools of Light" rock crystal spheres suspended in brilliant sterling silver settings.

It is an impressive and to-die-for 44-1/2" length.

This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime finds that will simply take your breath away.

Known in the Orient as "Pools of Light", the crystals are optically perfect allowing them to "capture" the surrounding light and glow from within.

The supply of Pools of Light seemed to exhaust itself around the 1930's, making the jewelry incredibly collectible today.

A true "Pool of Light" crystal will magnify and refract an image (so that it appears upside-down), which these do beautifully.

Perhaps one of the most important qualities of a "Pools of Light" necklace like this one is that the crystals are not drilled, as this would affect the way the beads catch the light.

Each of the perfectly spherical rock crystals is embraced by an open sterling silver setting characterized a lovely and realistic floral motif.

The beads are not drilled but rather, seem to "float" in their delicate settings.

The piece has been professionally tested to ensure the purity and quality of the silver.

The sterling houses are attached to one another with tiny sterling loops on the top and bottom.

This allows the necklace to articulate and move beautifully.

The necklace joins with a simple thumb-tab spring-ring clasp, also made of sterling silver.

Some of the "Pools of Light" crystals exhibit a few minuscule surface scratches, most of which are barely noticeable.

Other than some very minor patination on the sterling silver, this extraordinary necklace is in excellent antique condition.
