Vintage Very Unusual Dorset-Rex Fifth Avenue Cylindrical Handbag

The rigid body of the bag is covered in cream-colored linen which is held in place by shiny parallel brass bars.

As you can see, the Lucite lid has a rich amber-brown color with a matching translucent handle. The handle is affixed to the lid with nice brass components.

The base of the handbag matches the lid and features four little brass "ball" feet which help prevent scratching (to the bag and surrounding surfaces).

There is a great brass clasp on the edge of the lid that keeps the handbag securely shut.

Best of all, the interior is completely lined with feminine pink satin.

The satin is embossed with a mark reading "Dorset-Rex, Fifth Avenue, Design Pat. Pend" in shimmering gold.

There is some slight darkening near the seams of the lining, though it remains in good condition overall.

You will find a bit of oxidization on the brass components and rivets, though we are thrilled to say that overall, this darling vintage handbag remains in great condition.
