This gorgeous antique ring is made of brilliant 14 karat rose gold and boasts 3 sparkling square cut opals with genuine seed-pearl accents.
As you can see, the ring features a wonderfully unique design.
The face is characterized by a bold square shape with three glittering square shaped opal cabochons set in the center and on opposing corners, creating an interesting diagonal.
The remaining sides and corners are accented with 16 genuine seed pearls.
Each opal sits high in a short gold bezel. The opals are beautiful examples of the "milky" variety with brilliant flashes of green, pink and even little "glowing" spots of peach.
They are definitely not synthetic, but very real opals.
The bold, geometric design leads us to believe that is likely Edwardian era (circa 1901 to 1910).
Symmetrical patterns characterized by audacious angles predominated jewelry styles during the era.
The ring exhibits no marks or hallmarks but has been professionally tested and conclusively proven to be 14 karat rose gold.
There is a small crack in the bezel of one of the corner opals, though the stone is still secure in its setting.
Though it exhibits a few light surface scratches and some very minor darkening around the pearls, this dazzling ring remains in good antique condition.
