Antique Hard Wood Cane
The cane dates from 19th century China and is made from a single piece of weathered, gnarled hard-wood. It's wonderfully hand-crafted, and has a nice organic beauty about it.
As you can see, the wood is characterized by twists, turns, and knots but remains wonderfully smooth.
The slender piece of wood features a natural bend at the top which creates the perfect handle-shape.
A daunting cat-iron tip is attached to the bottom of the cane and measures almost 10 inches long.
The tip is very oxidized and comes to a point at the end. The metal exhibits a small hole on one side.
Despite the expected wear to the cast-iron ferrule and the wood, this cane remains in good antique condition.
Measurements: 37 3/4" tall, Handle is approx. 7" long, Cast-iron tip is 9 1/2" long, Shaft is 7/8"-1" wide Weight: 8 oz.
