Pretty Pink Miriam Haskell Horseshoe Plaque Cluster Earrings, ca. 1949
This classic pair of colorful vintage earrings features the rare and coveted Miriam Haskell "horseshoe" hallmark plaque. It was only used for a short time, from 1948 to 1950.
These beauties boast a great combination of glass beads, glittering rhinestones and stamped brass floral shapes.
Each earring has a pretty pink marbled glass bead as a focal point.
These are surrounded by little "flowers" comprised of arrays of pink and blue glass beads as well as tiny glass seed pearls.
There are two flowers on the earrings made up of brass petals; one features a translucent purple bead at the center while the other features a bundle of little glass pearls.
Classic hinge-clips make the earrings secure and fabulously comfortable to wear.
The Miriam Haskell "horseshoe" plaque is affixed to the reverse of the earring at the base of the clip.
It has become increasingly difficult over the years to find Miriam pieces with this hallmark, making these babies a real treasure-find!
Some of the metal areas show some minor darkening and verdigris, though the earrings remain in good vintage condition overall.
