This is a drop-dead-GORGEOUS vintage scent bottle made of dazzling Bohemian glass with sexy touches of dramatic red.
The bottle is about as Art Deco as it gets, with wide cut facets and an elegantly geometric design.
Cut-glass is FAR more valuable than pressed glass as it requires a lifetime of practice and skill to perfect. This darling vintage bottle is a gorgeous example.
Both the front and back of the bottle feature a design consisting of wide stripes of dark red and frosty, matte white.
These are intersected by two tiny parallel lines on the side. This bold design is the perfect complement to the other crystal-clear areas of the bottle.
The topper is a translucent shade of ruby-red and features a lovely pattern of cut facets.
The tiny glass applicator wand is still perfectly intact; this is difficult to find when glass is so delicate.
An original paper import tag can still be found on the underside of the bottle. It reads "Made in Czecho Slovakia".
Centuries ago, glassmakers of Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic) discovered a way to create clear, colorless glass. This strong, clear class could be cut using a wheel.
Since they shared so many characteristics, Bohemian glass was often referred to as Bohemian crystal.
This little beauty only shows one or two teeny surface scratches.
Keep it on your dressing table or in the powder room to add an air of sophisticated glamour.
