Here is a gorgeous vintage Fuji hand-beaded handbag dating from the 1940's. It features the most incredibly ornate floral pattern created with thousands of hand-applied glass seed-beads.
Delicate embroidery gives the design extra dimension and texture.
Delicately beaded bags like this vintage beauty were all the rage in the 1930s and '40s.
The translucent white beads cover the bag completely and surround colorful floral patterns on the top, front and back.
The flowers are outlined in bronze, opaque white and gray-colored seed-beads and filled in with delicate embroidery in several shades of pastel blues and pinks.
Shiny bronze thread in delicate French knots makes the perfect accent.
Even the handle is completely covered in amber-colored seed beads.
As you can see, the metal frame boasts an elegant gold-tone finish while the latch is accented with a hand-etched floral design.
There is a large mirror on the underside of the lid which remains in very good condition, despite some very minor clouding.
The interior of the handbag creamy-white satin and features two small pockets perfect for cards or cash.
You will find the original manufacturer's tag which reads "Fuji Bag, All Hand Made".
With every last bead perfectly in place and only a tiny bit of wear, this extraordinary handbag remains in outstanding vintage condition.
