Beautiful Art Deco Unusual and Very Unique Enamel Lotus and Lion Cigarette Case

The lid is ornamented with a heavy coat of vibrant enamel, portraying a scene of two female lions side by side with a background of blood-red lotus flowers.

Dark and turquoise-blue and mint green complement the bold main colors beautifully.

The lion or female cat, was a commonly appearing image in Art Deco as they mimicked the graceful power of the era’s architecture and style.

Upon opening, you will see that the interior of both lid and bottom bear a fantastic engine-turned design as well as two elastic bands for keeping cigarettes in place.

The elastic bands have lost their elasticity, understandable for its age.

There are spots of oxidation throughout the interior of the piece, though it remains in very good vintage condition overall.

This is an absolutely beautiful case. The colors and the images are really stunning.

This was in a private collector's pieces and we were able to, finally, convince him to sell it to us. It is amazing.
