Some of us are never too far from a pair of glasses, and what better way to keep yours scratch-free than with a classic beaded eyeglasses case like this vintage Walborg beauty?
Staring in the early to mid 1950's the Walborg Company supplied the East Coast's elite with some of the nation's most unique and elegant handbags.
The company specialized in the creation of Beauvais-embroidered, silk stitch-embroidered and delicately hand-beaded bags and pouches like this sparkly glasses case.
As you can see, both sides of this soft case are completely covered in tiny hand-applied tube and seed beads.
The edges are decorated with several rows of semi-translucent, iridescent tube beads while the center features a dense sea of bright white seed beads.
The shiny white seed beads surround more tube beads which form a floral design.
Inside, the glasses case is lined with winter-white satin. This is where you will find a fabric tag which reads "Exclusively for Walborg, Made in Japan".
You will notice that there is not a single bead out of place; we're thrilled to say that the glasses case remains in outstanding vintage condition overall.
Give this is as a gift to a fellow vintage-lover or cherish it in your own personal collection for years to come.
