Timeless Vintage Bottega Veneta Suede Handbag
The Venice-based fashion house Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. In fact, Bottega Veneta translates to "Venetian atelier".
After gaining world-wide renown for the leather-weaving technique (intrecciato) that remains the company's signature, they began to produce shoes, home items, and jewelry.
This beautiful suede Bottega bag is fantastically stylish and will be THE perfect day-to-day piece.
As you can see, this baby is a classic shoulder bag with a matching flap at the top.
The bag is made of divine suede in a versatile shade of tawny brown.
The flap closes simply and securely with a hidden magnetic clasp.
If you look closely, you can see that the suede exterior is accented with a minuscule repeating criss-cross pattern which gives the leather a great textural look.
Two narrow straps emanate from each side of the handbag and arrive at an ornamental know at the top. The straps are not suede but, rendered in a slightly shinier chocolate-brown finish.
This same leather accents the lower edge of the flap.
Inside, you will find a small zippered pocket in the rich pleather-lined interior.
Below the pocket, the traditional hallmark placard is affixed to the lining; it reads "Bottega Veneta, Made in Italy". This metal placard is correct for vintage Bottega Veneta handbags before they introduced the skewed "O" in their contemporary handbags.
The handbag shows almost no wear and remains in outstanding vintage condition. Believe us, this baby is timeless, and you'll find yourself carrying it all year-round.
