Beautiful Miniature Ruby-Glass Perfume / Scent Bottle with Sterling Silver Lid

This is an extraordinary antique perfume or scent bottle made from the most sensational ruby-red glass.

Dating from the early Victorian era, this tiny bottle boasts magnificent design elements.

The sterling silver lid features a repousse pattern of foliate scrolls; the neck of the bottle includes a securely affixed threaded collar, allowing the lid to screw on tightly.

The neck and the rim are rendered in sterling silver and have been professionally tested.

It's the ruby glass body that is really impressive. Every hand-cut facet sparkles in the light. Even though it's small, it still packs a lot of drama.

The flat bottom allows it to stand upright, making it perfect for display.

These miniature perfume bottles would have been filled with fragrance or smelling salts and small enough to fit into a ladies flapper wristlet purse.

There were also used to add fragrance to her hankies.

This is really a gorgeous bottle, its elegance and unusual size make it ultimate collector's piece.

This is a wonderful display piece besides being highly collectible. It is such a sweet little thing with a great color and the beautiful sterling, it would make a wonderful gift for someone very special.
