Cool Vintage Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses - Great Condition
Having returned from a balloon adventure and complaining of permanently damaged eyes, Lieutenant John MacCready contacted Bausch and Lomb asking them to create functional sunglasses that would also be elegant looking. Some years later, in 1937, the Ray-Ban company was established.
These particular sunglasses are in the Aviator style and are as hip today as they were when worn by pilots and movie stars of the 60’s. Featuring gold-plated frames and in excellent condition, these aviators measure 5 ½”.
At a Glance: -Lens 2” by 2 ½” -Face 5 ½” by 2 1/8” -Bridge ½” -Ear pieces 5 ½” long -Case 6 ¾” by 3” by 1 ½”. The -Lenses are near pristine condition. No discoloration to the metal, or loss of color. Nose pieces are clear and pristine, as are the ear pieces.
