Decadent, Hard to Find Collectible Joseph Magnin Netted Hat

From a designer like the inimitable Joseph Magnin, how could it not be?

What we love about Joseph Magnin accessories is the family dirt.

As a son of the Magnin family, he was passed over for prominent positions which didn't exactly sit well with him. He left to venture into real estate and then came back to retail by acquiring another store and renamed it Joseph Magnin Co.

So, essentially, he set himself up to be direct competition of his family! Love it.

This unique beauty was created using layers and layers of stiff asparagus-green net to create a gorgeous, wavy motif. It almost looks like a sea-anemone!

The cap itself is made from stiff netting while the netting on the top is arranged in a bunched, wavy pattern, giving the piece an altogether unusual but elegant look.

As you can see, the hat is just light and airy and so incredibly comfortable to wear.

There is no lining on the interior of the hat, keeping it delicate and breezy.

You will find the original designer's fabric label attached to the inner-band; it reads simply "Joseph Magnin".

Though the fabric label shows the slightest amount of wear, this incredible hat remains in outstanding, near-mint vintage condition.

This beauty is a collector's piece but completely wearable. We love it; we know you will too!
