The collectability of Miriam Haskell jewelry is reflected in its meticulous craftsmanship and timeless style. Upon opening her first boutique in the McAlpin Hotel in New York City, Haskell began creating collections for the most elite members of society, including Flo Ziegfeld and Coco Chanel.
This vintage necklace is absolutely gorgeous. It features five strands of different types of chain at graduating lengths. As you can see, there is a textured oval chain, an "S"-chain, a French rope chain, and two totally unique kinds of chain in fabulous gold-colored brass.
The different lengths of chain give the necklace a waterfall effect. The piece ends with a classic filigreed nesting box clasp.
The reverse of the clasp features a clearly reverse impressed Miriam Haskell hallmark within an oval.
The necklace exhibits a small amount of darkening and wear but, overall, it is in great vintage condition and is a gorgeous example of Miss Haskell's timeless style.
