This body of the bag is made entirely from gorgeous goldtone metal mesh attached with fine wire to a rigid goldtone frame.

The frame is held securely shut with an elegant rhinestone encrusted clasp.

The little clasp is in a bow-shape and is accented with round-cut rhinestones in blue, clear, red and yellow with the added elegance of an amber-colored baguette and an enormous green pear-cut stone.

We love this bag's wristlet strap which makes it perfect for wrist carrying. The strap is made of delicate woven metals and is held to the frame with a large brass loop.

Inside, the handbag is lined with gorgeous beige grosgrain. A teeny pocket is perfect for carrying the necessities like cards and cash.

You will find the original manufacturer's tag stitched to the inside of the handbag; it reads "Mesh, Whiting & Davis SAGS, Trade Mark Reg., Made in U.S.A."

As you can see, the gold-tone metals show some oxidization and wear. Some areas of the lining are a bit worn and have become detached from the surrounding frame.

Otherwise, this darling evening bag remains in good vintage condition.
