Because these two sweet hearts were on the same circa 1940s puffy heart bracelet, I just had to offer them as a pair in order to keep Grandma and Grandpa together! They have admittedly seen some action (it looks like a baby teethed on them), but they are both designs that are interesting and harder to find. They are dented and dinged on the back, and a bit of that carried through to the front.
The first charm is of two clasped hands with the words 'My Heart For Keeps'. This is the heart that is engraved 'Oma'. The second heart is a repousse bouquet of roses tied together with a bow. This heart is engraved 'Opa'. The engravings are in the same hand and are beautifully done.
Both hearts are marked sterling on the back lower right and have a very dark patina.
My grandparents were 'Grammy' and 'Grampy' on my mom's side, and 'Gram' on my dad's side. His father died before I was born, so I don't know what I would have called him! If you have an 'Oma' and an 'Opa', these hearts may just be for you.
Unless mentioned specifically, all puffy hearts I list will be the average puffy heart size. If you need more precise measurements I'll be happy to provide them.
Thanks for looking, and Happy Hunting!
