Double Strand Stone Necklace with Hand Carved Stone Pendant
I know for the one time I wore it out into the world, that it generated lots of interest. I always recharge jewelry that I sell in salt water and sun before I put them into my inventory of items ready to sell and mail if I've worn them. I actually wear very few of the items I've made for the store. I did recharge this necklace.
The pendant was carved from Indian Moss Agate. The beads are jasper.
These are beautiful graduated stones. The inner strand is 20". That is actually the measurement people need to know in making a decision about this necklace.
The monkey pendant is a conversation piece. That's always good for breaking the ice. I bought it a year after I purchased the strands of graduated beads, because it was just the right color. I'm adding it to my Seattle Series, because the tones go along well with the sentiments of walking next to a stream in the mist out in the Pacific NW at dawn. Maybe there are not monkeys there, but there is animal life.
I just had a fun thought: After years of calling your grand-kids "little monkeys" wouldn't they be delighted to see Grandmother wearing a little monkey necklace?
The longest strand of the necklace is 21.5". The pendant is removable, easily. That means you can put a different pendant on it if you ever decide to. I wouldn't. I'd just buy another necklace. I like the uniqueness of this piece.
The pendant is 2.25" tall and 1.5" wide.
The spacer beads are silver plated copper. The big leaf toggle clasp is a lead free zinc alloy, Tibetan Silver.
Thanks for coming. I hope you like this special necklace. Christmas, Hanuka and Kwanzaa are right around the corner and I'm loaded with great gift boxes that you get for free.
