Offered is a primitive wooden sifter/dry measure combination set dating to the late 19th c. The crank style sifter has wonderful dovetail joints, mesh screening on the bottom as well as handmade screws, dating it to the late 19th c. The wooden sifter was used to sift flour and grains of all kinds. It sat above an antique, half peck, wooden, dry measure signed Daniel Cragin, Wilton, N.H. It's a wonderful example of his workmanship ready to grace any primitive American interior.
The sifter measures 12" L X 12" W X 7" H.
The Cragin dry measure measures 11 1/2" round X 6 1/2" H.
