Offered is a rare platter made circa 1820 by Enoch Wood. (the Wood incised mark is on the reverse of the platter). The dark blue cartouche on the reverse of the plate or platter has the platter information. This particular pattern is part of the very sought after “London Views” collection titled “The Limehouse Dock Regent’s Canal”. The condition is very good to excellent with minor crazing on the reverse only. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are minimal utensil marks on the surface. This desirable Wood piece measures 14 & 3/4" x 11 & 5/8".
To acquire this platter in this fine a condition is not easily done today with most pieces in collections, private and public.
