Cherry side table with solid one board top, early 19th century

Offered is a very early, American, one drawer, SINGLE PLANK, ONE BOARD TOP, side stand in a gorgeous, solid, Cherry with a close, fiddle, grain; all original and untouched or finished in anyway. There are side stands and there are side stands. This has everything your looking for; early, American, hard wood, in this case a beautiful early Cherry. You can tell this by the fiddling you see in the grain and the closeness of it. You also see waves in the bottom pic of the top. The screws are not old and rusty. They are old and like new because they have never been exposed to the elements. The screws do not have lines exactly in the middle. They are not modern screws. The measurement of the top, 21" wide x 18.75" is not an exact measurement indicating that the stand is "bench made" and not made by any company. The drawer has a period pull, and is dovetailed on the front and the back. Nothing but square nails appear throughout the piece and the tool marks of the recessed plain just inside the underside of the drawer is chamfered with an early chisel. The patina, with its ink stains, little marks, candle rim, etc. all come together to say "I've got history". The turned one piece of wood legs are showing a slight irregular width due to age instead of being perfectly round. I could go on but I think I've made my point. This is a premier, early, American Primitive. It comes out of Lancaster County in the amish country of South Central Pennsylvania. I date it to abt. 1820. Local pickup is always welcome and even the weekends are usually not a problem so long as we have a date and time set up. If you would like a shipping quote just text or email us and we will get one back to you as soon as our shipper shops it for the most affordable price. I did call for a quote to OK lately and it was 300 dollars for FedEx. Which included everything so that should give you an idea. Thank you.
