A Staffordshire Plate from the company of Edge Malkin & Co. is featured. The pattern name is "Chang" and it's major colors are rust and dark blue green on an ivory background. The Oriental motif depicts an elderly Japanese gardener and an elegant woman standing near him in a garden setting. The manufacture marks date from 1847 to 1903 but I think this is an early plate dating from 1850-1860. There is no damage to the plate and the glaze is good. It shows the imprint of the holder it was set on which you can feel on the front. The plate measures 8" across.
