This piece was made by the Karl Knoll porcelain factory in Bohemia or Austria in Carlsbad (Karlsbad), after 1848 when Karl Knoll started the factory, but before 1890.
In 1890 porcelain was required by the U.S. to have the name of the country signed on the bottom. (The same requirement came about in Great Britain in 1897.)
The factory was in the city of Carlsbad, which alternated between Austria and Bohemia at that time(later named Czechoslovakia).
This piece measures 10 1/4" tall x 6 3/4" wide, and is in excellent condition.
