I have always admired user made tools. Here is a nice example of a basket clamp made and used by a Shaker basket weaver. The clamp is secured to the edge of a table or work bench and the basket being worked on was held in the spring loaded jaws allowing the craftsman to use both hands.
The clamp is 9" tall with a 12" clamp arm and the post is 1 3/4" square. The wood is maple with a smith made threaded iron clamp screw.
The condition is excellent with no losses and no repairs. The surface is original. Some of the teeth in the clamp jaw show wear from use.
This tool is as good looking as it is functional.
