Victorian Painted Window Shelf
Judging from the construction and nails used, it likely dates to the later part of the Victorian era, around 1900.
This piece was in need of some serious restoration. We made minor repairs to the moldings and made a new base to make it more functional in a modern home. All the paint surfaces were restored to the original color scheme of a red base with green striping and white trim. It was a pleasure to save this one from the burn pile.
We see this piece as a great way to showcase that special period collection - dolls, yellow ware, cameras, sports memorabilia, tools, treen ware, etc.
Because of its size it will have to be shipped ground, so we will quote shipping costs with your interest. We do offer personal delivery within 100 miles of Philadelphia and in New England in conjunction with our frequent trips there.
