Standing Horse Weathervane

We like this vane for its simple design and early surface. It is made from sheet iron in the form of a farm-sturdy, standing horse which is a common 19th Century theme.

At 23" long and 20" tall (21 1/2" in the stand) it is a great size for display. The early weathered surface is very appealing. The numerous bullet holes attest to its attractiveness to aspiring marksmen.

There is an early, honest repair to the front legs. k Please see the detailed photo. The vane is set in a modern oak stand.
