Full Bodied Copper Bass Weathervane

This is a classic example of a shaped, full bodied his weathervane in the form of a bass. He is 26 1/2" long, 9" tall and 4" thick In the metal star he is 16" tall.

The copper has naturally aged into the desirable verdigris surface. The condition is good with only minor blemishes consistent with age. An internal bracket (to help seat the rod from the stand) has come loose This is not visible and causes no issues with the stand or displaying the vane. This style of weathervane was popular along the East Coast in the late 19th and early 20th century.
