ca. 1950's Cotton Paisley Print Day Dress

Oh how I love dresses with pockets. This is a lovely Cotton day dress from the 1950's. It has a green paisley print on a black cotton poplin fabric. The dress has an overall, even color fade which in my opinion gives this great dress even more character. Not just a Vintage look, but truly Vintage :) It fastens down the center back with a metal 'snag proof' zipper and the straps button to the bodice in the front. I had initially thought this dress to be home made, but then I did find the remnants of a label stitched into the back facing (see photos). The self belt is included with the dress, but as you can see in the photo, the fabric is tearing away on the buckle. Oh, and the pockets. There are pockets set into the side seams of the skirt of this dress. Fabulous! With a 116" Sweep, this dress would look fabulous with or without a crinoline. I choose to shoot this one without.

Condition: Very Good. Please see description. This dress has been hand soaked.
