Ever since `Les Introuvables' (The Rarities) presentations were introduced each individual bottle has become an iconic representation of perfume bottle design, but then again they were produced by the very instigators of perfume bottle design and inarguably the most influential of them all: Lalique
Rene Lalique did not simply contribute to the perfume bottle industry. He invented it, in terms of presenting perfume within just more than a simple glass bottle, but a glorious statement piece befitting of the fragrance held within. This particular 3 bottle presentation by Lalique is as sensational as all others in terms of unequaled design coupled with quality...
This 3 bottle presentation was the first issue of the series `Les Introuvables.' I have currently listed two of these early examples, this example which is completely sealed and one other which apart from the ribbon tie of this listed example, it is complete & intact.
Naturally, very few miniature bottles of this size are or were produced entirely from glass. Unlike their larger examples, surlyn (not sulphide) has been used to replace the stoppers which allowed for cost effective production. Had these miniatures been produced entirely from glass, then they would be more expensive to produce, subject to the working methods required to replicate each bottle with preciseness in miniature... The absolute attention to detail upon each of these miniatures is extraordinarily defined, hence their on-going appeal and their desirability as being worthy investment collectables, worldwide. They are like a treasure-trove box of jewels or a showcase of luxurious splendour. Please study my photographs as I am sure that will agree.
Each bottle of this presentation retains all of its original contents of fragrance of 4.5ml. Further information has also been gold-embossed upon the base of the box, and is pristine. The transparent protective sleeve is also intact, and the Lalique sealing ribbon is as was, since time & date of manufacture and it has never been untied.
As with all of the Lalique presentations within my collection, this one was purchased by me personally during from the Lalique Salon in London during the early days of its launch, or by mail order. ALL of my Lalique items are displayed within custom made dust free glass cabinets, where this piece has also remained without being handled since original date of purchase. The box and its internal packaging therefore are also in as good as new mint pristine condition, making this particular example an exceptionally wise investment.
It would prove a very difficult task indeed to locate another sealed example as this, being offered anywhere else online and its value is destined to continuously appreciate...
