Isn't this wonderful. It is 1930s opalescent glass perfection, with a beautifully moulded design of water-lilies & lily pads upon stylized ripples of water. The image has the appearance of a still life pastel artwork and yet all has been captured using press moulded glass techniques. It's gorgeous.
Although this bowl is unsigned, it evokes the glass of Barolac, however this is only my observation through making comparison and I cannot find any references to this pattern in catalogues of the period. I purchased the bowl from France, however I consider it to be Czechoslovakian/Bohemian of origin.
It is a good sized piece at 13.25 inches in diameter and the details of the floral design are exceptionally well portrayed & defined, as my photographs demonstrate. You will not be disappointed to covet this piece and its value is destined to continue to grow.
