Bohemian 1930s Art Deco press moulded glass bowl - Sea Stars pattern by Barolac

This is a scarce and seldom seen Art Deco glass bowl being offered from my collection. It has been beautifully moulded to the underside with 3 stylized Sea Stars which have been depicted as like strings of pearls.

It is a good sized piece at 10 inches diameter and with a height of 2 inches which is aided by 6 moulded glass pegged feet. These feet raise the bowl to allow optimum light penetration from beneath the glass which shows-off the decorative features with brilliance. They are also a cleverly designed visual element to the bowl when it is viewed from above.

Establishing the factual maker of this bowl is problematic as I have not seen another to make comparison. I would welcome positive identification from any party. I can only suggest similarities of this piece to Inwald/Barolac, particularly the stud/pegged feet of the bowl which is characteristic of Barlolac. I seem to recall purchasing this piece from Germany, which may also be an indicator to its maker.

It is a quality piece and it is in superb, next to mint condition. There are no chips, cracks of flea-bites and the bowl rings like a bell when tapped with a fingernail...
