SCARCE & Desirable 2 part German Art Deco Press Moulded Depression Glass Comport by Walther & Sohne. Paradies & Berlin pattern

`Paradies' (paradise) is a magnificent statement piece, and here it is presented as a two piece comport with the `Berlin' pattern bowl by Walther, using their wonderful colour variety of pastel blue glass.

The total height is an impressive 27cms, with a bowl diameter of 29cms. As is typical with these items, the lower part of the base is hollow to allow for optimum penetration of light, whilst the upper stem is solid to provide strength and stability.

The overall condition of both components is as good as it gets. There are no chips, cracks or repairs just a few minute pin-sized nibbles to the base of the bowl and the very top of the base, which of course do not interfere with the stability of the piece and are not a detraction. It is a remarkable survivor, a very worthy piece for your collection, and in terms of investment I am offering it to you here at an incredibly low offer price...
