Gorgeous German Art Deco Press Moulded Glass Pelikan & Primus 3 part Center Piece Display by Walther & Sohne.

I am offering for your appraisal a further example of this sensational center piece by Walther & Sohne, from my collection.

And what a stunning example it truly is...

... It is press moulded blue glass perfection in every sense of the words.

I kindly urge you to view and to compare my other blue glass examples by Walther, to this incredible piece, as the richness of colour that this center piece displays is quite remarkable...

Walther & Sohne, encapsulated perfection of design and quality using press moulded glass techniques, and few, if any other German glass factory came close to their outstanding achievements of the era. Their contribution to Art Deco press moulded glass is cast in stone, as this beautiful center piece demonstrates.

The glass of Walther & Sohne, demands attention, and is arguably the best of its kind. Amazing and phenomenal items were produced by this factory. `Pelikan & Primus' included, and is quite simply a sensational paired representation using quality press moulded glass...

Tafelaufsätze (Pelikan) is two wonderfully stylized pelicans, so pleasing and captivating, no matter how or wherever they are displayed.

It is one of just a few center piece which Walther designed a specific bowl pattern for, however any number of bowls could be purchased for this piece at time of manufacture to suit individual requirements. Here, is the bowl pattern `Primus.' A luxurious bowl type, with a wonderful wavy rimmed edge which radiates outwards from its center with a spiral of curvature designs using translucent & matt-satin frosted glass with precision.

`Primus' is also raised upon pegged feet, to allow for optimum penetration of light from beneath. It is a perfect bowl pattern type in which to accommodate and to present the' Pelikan' central components with magnificence & beauty.

Please take a while also to study the glass colour of this piece... It is a colour shade of blue without parallel. Not too dark. Not too light, just perfect...

As like with most center piece displays by Walther, `Pelikan' is a separate component piece, and its glass flower frog is not integral. The flower frog is a much repeated design which was used for wide variety of central figures produced by Walther & Sohne. In other words, it could be used interchangeably (subject to colour match) and as can be noted from other Walther glass center piece bowl combination types here in my shop, the size and the pattern of this item does not waver. One flower frog fits all bowls and most figures and each could be purchased separately at time of manufacture during the 1930s.

This original combo of Primus & Pelikan comes together to provide elegance & style and its colour variant is unquestionably a pure delight for your collection... All three items are also in remarkable good condition. Only a few nibbles are evident to the top inner edge of the flower frog, which in no way detract when the pelicans are in place. This is a sensational piece by Walther, and a very worthy addition for your collection.

... It is pure rhapsody in blue, just for you ...
