Austrian Crystal Glass & Gilt Metal Filigree Perfume Scent bottle. Perfect & Boxed.

The resulting pattern is quite adorable and is a beautiful token of love.

I located this piece in my late Mother's dresser where it has remained untouched for many years. The bottle, wrapped in a wad of soft padding and in its original box from where this piece was purchased: Watchmakers & Jewellers D.B. Selgrove, Tooting Broadway, S.W. London, England, who are now long gone from existence.

I have looked for a maker mark upon the metalwork but am unable to locate any however its quality & pedigree is unquestionable.

Incredibly for a bottle so delicately made, it still retains its original crystal glass dauber... It is as thin as a needle and can be observed through a window of golden filigree which frames the bottle upon each side, the top shoulders and the base. Even the cap has been finely worked & pierced, and is barely the size of a sewing thimble.

Trying to capture this piece by photographs has proved exceptionally problematic for me. I am not known for my photographic skills and I have difficulty to capture items many times the size of this piece. I kindly ask that you appreciate the above, whilst I also guarantee the outstanding qualities and level of craftsmanship that this delightful piece displays... It is just perfect.

No damage exists at all on this piece. It is in pristine mint condition, despite having been used, for it still retains the adorable scented aroma of one of my Mother's favourite fragrances... `Danae' by Coty circa mid-1920s.
