DESIRABLE Uranium Blue Glass 1930s Art Deco Vase by Libochovice, Czechoslovakia.

HERE is a vase that is incredible in so many ways...

First & foremost it was produced by Libochovice who were inarguably one of the most prolific of European factories of its era using press moulded glass techniques of exceptional quality in terms of design & technical achievement.

The numerous glass factories throughout Europe during the Art Deco period did not 'ape' or `copy' from one to another... Each factory, within its own country (or outside of it) were developers & pioneers of their own very unique individuality in terms of design and this vase by Libochovice is no exception. Its formation, its style and its every last single detail is unique to this factory alone...

During previous years of glass-working history, numerous glass-types, features and many other criterion were adapted by so many factories worldwide, but during the glorious days of Art Deco in particular, seldom if ever was this the case, and most if not all, depended upon one thing alone to place themselves ahead of their competitors: ARTISTIC DESIGN...

There exist numerous examples of 1930s Art Deco uranium blue GLASS... However, there exists only ONE design of this vase, and here it is... With its amazingly fashioned top formation which is entirely unique to the factory itself.

Pink glass, Amber glass, Green glass, clear and or Blue glass etc. etc. were glass colour varieties used by ALL, but one thing alone separated them, which is the DESIGN of such items of glassware using press moulding techniques...

Of course, most if not ALL other factories of the period also used the colour `blue'... but the design of this vase is entirely unique and its addition of Uranium enrichment is scarce as very few factories used uranium as an inclusive to produce THEIR blue glass, and those which did, did not always include uranium as an additive to ALL of their blue glass.

Just look at the incredible top of this vase... It is like no other, and its eye-catching appeal is immediate, as too is the tulip-shaped form of the vase body itself.

Standing at 10 inches high and with a base diameter of 4.5 inches, this Uranium blue Art Deco vase, has everything going for it and it is a joy to behold.

The condition of this piece is excellent. The tiniest flea-bite can be felt upon the base with a fingernail and is only mentioned here for accuracy of description. Had I not mentioned it, then I doubt that you could find it. This vase is quite simply stunning for your collection and the pattern is exceptionally scarce. Have You seen one before? I very much doubt that you will find another, outside of private hands...
