Antique Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts Free Blown Opalescent Vaseline Uranium Glass Vase. Circa 1880-1910

The maker of this enchanting vase shall probably never be known or with any degree of authority, however its vintage can be established to that of circa 1880-1910.

It has been free blown using the wonderful qualities of Opalescent Vaseline glass and as my photographs clearly demonstrate and it is unique.

The vase is a joy to behold and its smallness of size makes for an unobtrusive display wherever it is suitably placed. It is also exceptionally tactile and completely free of any damage.

It is quite possibly an `end of day' item or a trial piece, and the quality of glass and its style of formation would point towards Thomas Webb, England.

The subtle `whisper' of opalescence to the lower body of the vase is a delightful characteristic, whilst the hand-tooled & pinched top fill applique adds further dimension to the piece.

It's a little Darling!

The base of the vase displays a sure sign of quality, as it has been pontil ground & polished. This is a time consuming and costly procedure even to this day, whilst also adding a good stability to the piece.

You shall not find or locate another like this for your collection and neither will you be disappointed to covet and to cherish this adorable vase. It truly is a gem... and an affordable and very wise investment at this 'Give-Away' price.
