There a few who would not forgive you having been drawn to and for wanting this beautiful piece.
It is an exceptional 1930s English Art Deco 4 part glass center piece produced by Jobling, who during this period designed & developed some of the most beautiful of decorative glass using press moulding techniques.
Jobling Art Deco glass represents quality the likes of which are housed in museums and coveted by collectors for it is some of the finest of all press moulded glass of the period and its production was very brief. There is not much Jobling Art Deco glass left to spread around for little was made in comparison to other factories.
That this glass center piece remains at all in its entirety is quite scarce. Few of the glass block plinths, were produced, for example. Those that were most are now lost or damaged. The central lady also and its glass flower frog many have become detached over the years from their original configuration as intended. The bowls too (and what a bowl that it is) would have been used for many purposes by their owners since their date of manufacture.
For your collection is the original entirety, here.
Do not allow this chance to pass you by.
My own photographs of this incredible Art Deco glass set speak louder than any words... Perhaps that alone is why you too have also been captured by its undeniable magnificence. I need only therefore to report its condition and size dimensions which are also incredible to say the very least.
And just at this glow when lit by UV!
The all glass block plinth its bowl and the figural lady are mint. Not a one single blemish is evident throughout.
Only the posy frog has suffered chipping and only to its underside base, which does not detract or interfere in any way to this piece... It is remarkable, in itself, to even be there!
The bottom edge of the peg base of the lady which fits into the posy frog, is also slightly chipped... Whoopee, BIG DEAL, I can almost hear you say for it is hardly worth a mention or an equation for a glass survivor such as she is and the chips cannot be seen when in situ as how is meant.
...as first and foremost I have been a collector and admirer of glass. As a collector only, I would settle for any of the component parts which come together to form this outstanding Art Deco work of inarguable major importance however I now pass on my cherished items for the collectors of now & tomorrow...
Please think with care about that.
