1930s Bohemian Art Deco Satin Frosted Blue Glass Figural Lady Vase

It is a beautiful vase of its type and it features a classical stylized Grecian maiden, moulded in high relief to its front facing side.

She is slightly risqué & sensual and yet remains dressed with dignity in a free-flowing chiffon-transparent covering, which has been moulded with exquisite detail, so as to define the lady's natural curvature.

These vases were produced using a variety of coloured glass type- translucency and or with matt-frosted variations, and here for your collection using the pastel colour shade of matt-Satin blue, which affords this vase a tactile feel, and a pleasure for you to cherish.

The vase has been cleverly thought-out in terms of its press moulded method of production, for it was produced using a three part spring release mould, which were speedy to use and yet difficult to maintain the absence of moulding lines to a finished piece. The designer of this vase therefore, incorporated and used the three moulding lines which would remain from the mould, and added a further six vertical ribs, so as to provide ever more eye catching appeal to the body of the vase, which culminates to a wonderful pleasing top scalloped rim.
