Femme (woman) was just one of the fragrances by Marcel Rochas which were packaged within this wonderful presentation by Lalique.
It is an early design by Marc Lalique circa 1943 and most of these examples were not signed. There were also some slight variations to this bottle design using different shapes of round or oval base types.
Marcel Rochas (1902-54) established his Couture House in Paris, France at 12 avenue Matignon in 1925 until its closure in 1953, during which time Marc Lalique created just two presentations for this Salon. The example bottle as here and the later creation La Rose designed in 1951.
There are no known Rene Lalique bottles for Marcel Rochas.
This wonderful, all glass example of Femme, retains its original presentation box, its bottle neck cord & yellow metal seal and just under half of its wonderful fragrance that is Femme, a perfume of sweet richness and bouquet.
The oval base of this bottle is marked in moulded relief:
MARCEL ROCHAS MADE IN FRANCE
The all glass stopper is also moulded in relief: MARCEL ROCHAS PARIS, and below the top label there are further mouldings which are covered and so indecipherable.
Please see my photographs for the box illustration
It is a fine presentation for your collection. Many of these bottles are overlooked simply by the lack of a Lalique signature however this bottle is documented as such and is a super example of the incredible works of Marc Lalique...
NOTE: The bottle will be appropriately sealed prior to dispatch to avoid any seepage of contents during transit.
