PAIR of Pottery Tureens & Large Oval Platter Dish, by Booths, England. Circa 1906

I can only apologise for not being able to accurately give the pattern name for these items which were produced by Booths, England, however as is shown in their catalogues,the set is dated to circa 1906.

And what a fabulous three-piece set that this is...

Each component has been beautifully decorated with bands of lime-green, round-cornered square shapes, upon a background colour mustard-yellow, over cream. Further decorative elements are the wonderful royal-blue panels, each containing decorative motifs which compliments the overall design of each piece quite beautifully.

Additional features of the lidded tureens are of course their fabulous stylized shell-form handles and flower top finials.

The condition of this set if excellent,with just the normal slight loss of gilding to the edge of the large oval platter,and very slight crazing as is shown. There are no nasty chips, cracks, fractures or repairs and so each piece is in next to mint condition throughout.

The bases of each item are maker stamped in green and have impressed Rd Numbers:

They also carry hand applied numbers in red script: 4591

I have used an identical photographed copy from a Booths Pottery factory book, to show the mark more clearly.

These are truly fine examples made by Booths and I am sure that will agree that any dining occasion will be fondly remembered when you dress your dining table with these fully useable items.
