Important Documented Iridescent Glass Feather-Combed Vase by Okra, England

WOW! My PHOTOS may reduce this vase to being impure; damaged and/or ???

This piece is Exceptional... And it is in MINT CONDITION throughout.

This stunning iridescent Art Glass vase is by one of the worlds leading exponents of these surface decorated glass types: Okra, Stourbridge, West Midlands, England.

Okra glass is recognised & collected worldwide and features in many of the worlds most important glass collections.

This particular vase has a pedigree all of its own, for it was produced by founder member Richard Golding and was featured on the front cover of 'The Chair Glass Guild Magazine' and justifiably so too.

It carries many makers marks to its base in etched script: OKRA GLASS GUILD FOUNDER MEMBER 1997/1998 No. 1249

This vase has exceptional qualities throughout.

The addition of manganese to the crystal batch has provided a beautiful shade of purple to the glass. Swirls of peacock feather trailing have been combed onto the glass surface and whilst still hot, the entire has been iridized with metallic salts... The result is breathtakingly beautiful.

Silvery-hues of blues and golden- green shimmer across the glass in an ever changing spectrum. The vase is a real "Show Stopper" and is exceptionally tactile and very appealing to the eye.

It is also of course, entirely unique and is offered to you here IN MINT CONDITION

A quality glass vase for your collection and is pictured beside a Loetz vase (which is currently separately listed) to provide you size & scale.

A KINDLY NOTE: Please accept that offers are not invited for this vase and cannot be entertained. Kindly appreciate that I listed this vase (priced as is) seven months ago... during which time this very piece has increased in value by a third. THIS vase is a desirable antiquity of 'tomorrow' and as very wise investment piece, its value is destined to grow substantially... Please do not under estimate the importance of this piece, or its significance or the current price which this vase is being offered to you*

Thank you in advance.
