This marvelous satin-frosted pink glass centrepiece is by Sowerby, and was produced in England during the 1930's.
The central lady figure strikes a resembling pose to the lady figures of Sheweig, Muller & Co, Germany, however there are subtle differences to distinguish them which enables their identification.
For size comparison you may with to view my other listed glass Ladies, such as pictured with this listing.
The Sowerby lady as is offered here is smaller (for example) and can be seen to be wearing different costume. Her hands and her feet have also been detailed with a difference and the flower-frog has been moulded as one piece with the lady, as opposed to being two separates.
The bowl has moulded patterns to its underside only and the surfaces to both components have been satin-frosted. The compact size of this centrepiece allows for versatile display possibilities and of course can be used as intended for floral arrangements.
