"ATHENA" pattern by Arthur Wood, of England is a very beautiful lustre vase.

This example has under glazed transfer & hand painted decorations of beautiful Lakeland scenes with floral borders,to both sides and the front & back.

The floral decoration continues further,upon a mottled-pink background colour around the top rim of the vase.

The handles are a wonderful feature,with their complementing forms & colour. The entire vase has been lustred to give a beautiful opalescence.

It has impressed marks to its base: MADE IN ENGLAND ATHENA 4508 It also has its full makers stamp.

This is a wonderful & worthy addition to your collection, particularly at this current Sale Price, and the condition of this piece is damage free.
