A Beautiful Art Deco Pink Glass Two Piece Companion Vase & Bowl Set by Stolzle

Stolzle glass has at all times been highly collected since its foundation at the Oberdorf glassworks in Barnbach, Austria on June 15th 1805, by Karl Smola. During later years, the company,as like many others of the period, location & style, became known more commonly as Sklo Union/Bohemian Glass and some, just as this example, bear the country makers mark Czechoslovakian.

This beautiful two-piece set has all of the associated qualities to this glass:

Striking Art Deco designing with thickly defined mouldings using a quality crystal in numerous variations of colour.

Offered to you here and completely free of any damage, is a salmon-pink example for your collection.

The bowl bares the moulded mark upon its base rim: CZECHOSLOVAKIA

It is also a documented pattern number: 19072

Seldom found as being complete, this is a desirable set. Most have become separated and sold off as separate items. The vase & bowl would have been made available to purchase as two separate items, at time of manufacture, however the two offered here would have been manufactured and sold as one lot. Colour matching such separate items to make them complete again, is almost impossible, due to time & date of actual manufacture. Coloured glass batches alter with colour intensity when each mix was produced in the furnace.

Its kind of trying to find a single candlestick to make a pair from the one that you already have!
