New York City Silk Tie Featuring The Statue of Liberty and Designed By Nicole Miller

Yellow cabs, subway tokens, the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty....this whimsical tie has got `em all! The NYC print is done on a background of black fine silk with the designer's name woven into the dark silk......her name shows ever so faintly, but if you look closely, you will see it. And, one other charming detail that Nicole snuck in on us....among the chorus line of Lady Liberties is one who is extra special. She is showing a little leg and her face is flesh colored as well. Lady Liberty is hoisting high a bottle of the Bubbly in one hand and holding a glass all ready for a toast in the other. And, one other Lady appears to have sunglasses and still, another, looks like she might have a mustache!! I do believe this tie could have been done to celebrate The Statue of Liberty's 110th birthday, but I'm not sure about that. Another possibility is that it is celebrating New Year's Eve in NYC.....who, knows! But, for whatever reason this tie came about, it's quite charming, as many of Nicole Miller's designs are!
