Vintage 1950's Peignoir Set by Tula Designers Collection

Under the robe is a white nylon sleeveless nightgown so typical of the gowns from this period. The bodice has a fitted waistline with elastic in the back. There is a yoke neckline with the same trim as the neckline on the matching robe. A narrow ribbon bow ties at the front of the yoke. This soft nylon gown is not floor length but, instead, tea length.

Condition: Very Good

The decorative ribbons show some slight signs of age.....not fraying, but maybe slight fading....could have been originally pale blue....not sure. The elastic in the back waist in the nightgown is still springy, but the elastic in the puffy sleeves in the robe has lost some of it's original elasticity....the sleeves will be more loose and not tight on the arm. There is some spring left despite this notation. Other wise the robe is in very good condition and very pretty! One of the nice things about these sets is that they are hand washable and line dry....no need for dry cleaning. I don't think I would machine wash, though.....stick with hand washing!
