If I could only be so fortunate to find a beautiful portrait of a Manchester Terrier painted on a lovely dove gray silk scarf.....well, it wouldn't be for sale! This scarf could have been a commissioned piece made especially for the owner of this beautiful Boxer. This portrait is so well done and truly shows the heart and soul of this special breed of dog. It's a shame that the artist did not sign their work! The quality silk used for the canvas is a soft gray with a nice sheen. The edges of this one of a kind scarf are hand rolled. A lovely little work of art!
Condition: Very Good
This silk has a little bit of a raw look to it.....even though it is very soft to the touch. There are several very faint lines that can be seen ever so slightly along the bottom hem just under the portrait of the dog and just along the side hem to the right of the dog. These are only noticed when pointed out and certainly do not take away from the scarf. There are are several very faint "scuff" type marks, which I thought might have been done when the scarf was painted. Neither of these issues seemed to have come from wear, as I'm sure this was once someone's prized possession. And, these issues show up far more in the photos than they actually appear when you look at the scarf.
Label: There was a label once present on the back of the scarf, but appears to have been removed.
